Tennis and pickleball

Cochrane offers 4 dedicated tennis courts. Two located at William Camden Park (207 Glenpatrick Drive) and two located at Quigley Park (417 First Street East).

Cochrane also has 24 dedicated pickleball courts, 4 located at Quigley Park (417 First Street East), and 20 in the community of Greystone at 123 Park Street. 

Eight courts at Greystone and all four courts in the East End are available on a first come first serve basis. Booking is permitted to secure a date and time weekdays between 9am and 5pm. This is available on four courts at 123 Park Street and on the four courts at 417 1st St E.  Bookings are non-refundable. The system receipt is your booking confirmation and verification. Booking is not available from 5pm - 9pm on weekdays, Saturdays/Sundays or Statutory holidays - these times are first come first serve only.

Baseball

Cochrane has several ball diamonds that, if they aren’t in use, are available for a quick, informal game. Teams and leagues may book them throughout the season. Three youth and adult leagues regularly use the diamonds.

Cochrane has several sports fields that are ideal for organized sports and impromptu games when the fields are available. Three leagues and many groups book these fields throughout the season.

Disc golf course

Located at Riverfront Park in a beautiful riverside setting, the nine-hole course is fun for the whole family. The course is free to use and open seven days a week.

Zero Gravity Skatepark 

Zero Gravity Skatepark features a 427-square-metre plaza and modern bowl unit in a pristine hillside setting overlooking the river valley.

Jumpstart Inclusive Multi Sport Court

The Jumpstart Inclusive Multi Sport Court, created in partnership with Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (Jumpstart), is an accessible play space designed to remove physical and social barriers to play, so children of all abilities can enjoy this shared space. The court is open late April and closes Thanksgiving Monday. It is free to use and open seven days a week. 

Fishing

Mitford Pond is stocked annually with trout for fishing in partnership with the Alberta Conservation Association and is a favourite with kids.  Anglers 13 years old and younger are allowed to use bait and keep one trout per day. All other anglers 14 years and older, must release their catch and use single barbless hooks on their lures or flies, absolutely no bait. A license is required by any person 16 or over. There is no night or ice fishing permitted.

Outdoor Ice Skating

Outdoor skating areas are established when weather conditions allow. When cold weather permits, Parks staff work to build and maintain ice so they can be enjoyed for skating throughout the season. Lights are on nightly until 10 p.m.
